Description:
A deciduous tree with a conical habit best known for the white bracts that surround the small flowers in spring. The bracts can be up to 15cm long and hang from the tree in a way that gives the effect of handkerchiefs. Bright to dark green leaves are roughlt heart shaped and lightly serrated around the edges.
Best grown in fertile soil with shelter from wind while maturing. Also benefits from regular mulching and watering during hot periods. Frost hardy.
