Description: 

A hybrid from the parents Magnolia denudata and M. lilflora. It grows as a deciduous multistem large shrub or small tree, depending on how it is trained and pruned.

The flowers are various shade of white, pink and maroon, flowering on bare branches in spring.

Leaves are shiny dark green and broad eliptical. The time and length of flowering varies, so does the shape of the flowers some globular, other cup and saucer shaped.

Easy cultivation, tolerant to wind and alkaline soils.
