Description: 

A New Zealand semi evergreen shrub with a very distinctive look, it has divaricating branches that are reddish brown in colour and zig zag together to form a dense ball shape.

Leaves are small, 8mm across, bright green and heart shaped.

Small flowers are off white with a hint of pink or green.

The fruit are about 3 to 4 mm in diameter, dark, three-angled nut, surrounded by translucent succulent tepals.

Slow growing but very hardy can tolerate winds and dry conditions.

Ht: 2 x 1.5m

Uses: 

As a hedge, use for texture or as a contrast plant, can be trimmed for more shape.

Propagation: 

By cuttings or seed.
