Description: 

Evergreen woody climber.

Leaves are deep green, oblong or elliptical and have a rough texture around 20cm long.

They occur in opposite pairs with adjacent pairs at right angles.

Individual flowers consist of five lavender purple sepals set like stars in a lighter blue calyx.

These flowers are borne in graceful drooping racems up to 30cm long.

Best situated in full sun in a sheltered frost free area, ideal for an east or north facing wall.

 

Uses: 

Flower display on walls, fences, arches.

Propagation: 

By seed or semi ripe cuttings.
